|"demo_pause pauses the CS:GO demo. To resume it use the command "demo_resume".|
|demoui||Toggles the player UI for the demo. With the player UI you can speed up, slow down and skip entire rounds.|
|demo_info||Displays all of the information about the demo.|
|spec_show_xray 1||0 = Disable X-Ray|
1 = Enable X-Ray (see other players through walls, works like a wallhack for demos and Overwatch)
|nextdemo||The next demo of the demo sequence will be played.|
|demolist||Displays a demo sequence list.|
|listdemo||Displays a content list of the demo.|
|demos||Returns you to the home screen of CS:GO.|
|demo_timescale [Playback speed]||Define the speed of the demo, enter a number that works as a multiplication:|
1 = 1x Normal Speed, 20 = 20x
|demo_togglepause||Toggles pause to on and off.|
|demo_gototick [Tick]||Tick to a specific timestamp for example 3840 for 1min. (64x)|
|demo_listhighlights||Displays a list of highlights.|
|demo_listimportantticks||List important ticks that the game client determined to be important.|
|load [Game Name]||Load a specific file or demo.|
|csgo_download_match [Match ID]||Download a CS:GO match with the unique serial code.|
|demo_recordcommands [0 / 1]||Only works in the "sv_cheats 1" mode. Records all commands that have been typed into the console and saves it in a ".dem" file.|

What is a CS:GO Demo?
A CS:GO demo is recorded in-game material that can be watched again like a replay. It is not a video, it’s a Steam DEM file, which allows you to switch the camera angles, speed up, slow down, and use helpful demo UI extra functionalities. Demo files can be recorded, saved, shared, and downloaded.
Where are CS:GO Demos saved?
It depends on the CS:GO installation where the demos will be saved but the common path for a Windows installation is the following directory:
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\replays\ If the replay folder has not been created yet, you can simply create it.
What is CS:GO Overwatch?
The Overwatch feature in CS:GO works as an anti-cheat rewarding system. Experienced players are allowed to watch demos, from players which have been reported to be cheating or from these where the VAC system wasn’t sure if it’s a hack or not.

How to Record a CS:GO Demo?
- To record a demo in CS:GO you must be in an active match.
- Now open the developer console and type “record name”. The name can be replaced with any name you want. Now the demo will be recorded.
- The demo will be automatically recorded until you type “stop” into the console, or disconnect from the server.
- Afterwards browse the CS:GO replay path:
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\replays\
- That’s it! You have sucessfully recorded a CS:GO demo.
How to Open CS:GO Demo Files?
The easiest way to watch a CS:GO demo is by double-clicking the file in the replay folder. This will automatically start CS:GO and launch the demo. If that doesn’t work, Counterstrike not correctly connected to the file.
The second option is to open a demo straight from your console. Open the console and enter this command:
playdemo name When typing the first letter of the name, CS:GO auto-suggests all existing demo files.
How to Pause, Play and Skip CS:GO Demos?
To get full control over CS:GO demos use the demoui. Simply type
demoui and it will open.
With the demo ui you have small buttons to pause, play, skip, rewind or move forward in the demo. It also allows to restart or end the demo. With the demo ui selection box it’s super easy to watch, pause and play demos in CS:GO

X-Ray in CS:GO allows us to see other players through walls like a wallhack. This can help to identify if the potential hacker might have reacted to something he should not be able to see.
